Health Research, Inc. (HRI), non-profit corporation, welcomes submissions of previously
unpublished or published single-panel cartoons, comic strips, and serialized graphic novels, as
well as alternative-format works that focus on the visual. We are seeking an artist to help with
the season expansion of a digital comic, Tested. In this position, the artist will produce a rough
draft of the concept for approval, incorporate changes based on feedback and request, and
produce final product for release on various digital platforms. The ideal applicant is familiar with
a variety of artistic mediums, and bachelor’s degree in fine arts or graphic design is preferred.
We are interested in works for young adults (e.g., ages 18-40) that represent a broad range of
subjects such as drama, realism and humor. We are looking for serious artistry and creativity.
