Health Research, Inc. effectively evaluates, solicits, and administers external sponsored program funding to financially support projects, programs, and research for the New York State Department of Health.
In this capacity, Health Research, Inc. desires to execute and enter into a consultant agreement for the services of a Tester Level 1 for the period 03/10/2025 – 07/31/2025 with the possibility of being extended to 07/31/2026. Compensation Details:
Not to exceed $45/hour
Scope of Work: This contractor will be continued to assist in development support and maintenance of COVID-19 and other infectious disease applications used for preparedness response in emergencies. The contractor will provide testing support for various Emergency Preparedness applications undergoing updates with primary focus on Countermeasure Data Management System (CDMS) used for COVID-19 and other infectious disease rapid test scheduling and COVID-19 and other infectious disease vaccine administration, but also supporting other relevant applications including Incident Management System Dashboard, Medical Emergency Response Inventory Tracking and other grant-related applications as needed.
Mandatory Qualifications:
- This position requires at least a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, MIS or equivalent from an accredited institution. A copy of the degree must be submitted with the Candidate Proposal Response.
- 2 years’ experience testing functional, technical, and performance testing
- 2 years’ experience developing & performing quality testing, with the ability to identify data quality issues at the business level and support the creation of data quality rules
- 2 years’ experience performing defect management
- Candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years’ experience with creating and executing test plans, scenarios, and test cases
- 2 years’ experience in testing in an Agile development environment
- 2 years’ experience in developing and maintaining information technology technical documentation for end user support
- 2 years’ experience in the creation of test data which reflects production level data
- 2 years’ experience using issue tracking tools such as Redmine or Jira
