Funding to Conduct Focus Groups with Parents and Caregivers of Children with Disabilities (Medicaid-Eligible)
Description:
Funding is available for up to 13 community-based organizations who are:

- Located in New York State and/or the Nations (excluding NYC) and
- Serve parents and caregivers of Medicaid-eligible children with disabilities.
Examples of organizations that would be eligible for this funding opportunity include, but are not limited to, organizations that provide support to parents and caregivers of children with disabilities; organizations that provide recreational activities to children with disabilities; Special Education Parent-Teacher Associations (SEPTAs); organizations that provide training to families and caregivers of children with disabilities.
Funding amount is up to $8,200 per organization. The funding must be used to conduct in-person or virtual guided discussions and/or focus groups for parents and caregivers of children with disabilities who receive Medicaid in New York State. Feedback collected from these parents and caregivers will help to identify barriers that these children face in retaining Medicaid coverage.
This is a one-time funding opportunity. Only one application can be submitted per organization. Applicants must select which NYS region they are proposing to work in. The contract period will be 4/1/25 through 8/31/25.
