Project Intent: NYSDOH plans to invest in training and development for Small Wellness Mini Bid Awardees contracted through the COVID-19 Health Disparities Program. Funding will be made available to training and development organizations, workforce development institutions, community colleges and universities, Community Based Organizations (CBOs) and Public Health Institutions.
Funding amount is $49,999 per organization. This is a deliverable-based contract. Up to $20,000 of this funding is available to support set deliverables as described in the Ability to Report section of the Public Health Essentials Mini Bid Overview. The remaining funding will be used to deliver training and development in one of the four focus areas (Community Needs Assessment & Health Equity, Health Literacy, Evidenced Based-Evidenced Informed Programs, Quality Improvement and Program Evaluation) that are in alignment with the 10 Essentials of Public Health. Applicants may apply for more than one award in different focus areas but only one award will be made per focus organization. This is a one-time only funding opportunity. Funding must be used by May 30, 2023. Four awards are available (1 per focus area).

A deliverable-based contract with Health Research, Inc. will be awarded to the successful bidders.
