HRI has updated the HRI-50 Proposal Approval Form. Item 4 in the Compliance Assurances section on page 2 has been updated to “4. Pathogen or biological toxin within the scope of Category 1 (Dual-Use) or Category 2 (PEPP Research)” with options “Yes” and “No.” The reference for this information has also been updated to the “USG Policy for Institutional Oversight of Dual Use Research of Concern and Pathogens with Enhanced Pandemic Potential, May 2024).”
These updates are in response to NOT-OD-25-061: NIH Implementation of the U.S. Government Policy for Oversight of Dual Use Research of Concern (DURC) and Pathogens with Enhanced Pandemic Potential (PEPP).
