On March 29, 2024, the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) between HRI and CSEA was ratified. Terms contained within that agreement include “Retention Incentive Lump Sum Bonuses” (retention bonus) for CSEA-represented employees that were employed as of the date of ratification (3/29/24) AND remain employed at the time of the retention bonuses. The retention bonus schedule is as follows:
Retention Incentive Lump Sum Bonus:
$1,000 paid 6 months following ratification.
$1,000 paid 12 months following ratification.
*Employees will be eligible for each bonus provided they were employed as of the date of ratification AND they remain employed at the time of the payment.
**If employed as of 3/29/24 – 9/29/24, employees will receive a $1,000 bonus. If they remain employed through 3/29/25, they will receive the second $1,000 bonus.**
Presently, these bonuses and the associated fringe and indirect are not encumbered nor reflected in account balances on HRI reports. HRI is working diligently to assess the impact of these bonuses on all HRI awards with CSEA employees. Grant administrators will contact the Principal Investigators associated with any award that may become overcommitted because of the retention bonuses.
