The HRI 2014 Grants.gov and eRA Commons deadline schedule has been posted. Please note:
- There has been a change in the validation process for applications that must be submitted through both Grants.gov and eRA Commons. Previously, an application met the deadline as long it was validated in Grants.gov by 5:00 on the due date (unless stated otherwise in the FOA). An application now must be validated in both Grants.gov and eRA Commons by 5:00 on the due date.
- Grants.gov can take up to two (2) business days to validate an application and eRA Commons validation can take up to another two (2) business days after Grants.gov validates. Although validation rarely takes a full two days — it could!
- As a result, to be absolutely certain of meeting the deadline, applications that require validation in both systems must be submitted by 10:00 am FOUR (4) business days prior to the due date.
