Dear PIs and Administrators:
Voluntary committed cost sharing is defined as “cost sharing specifically pledged on a voluntary basis in a proposal, which then becomes a binding requirement of a Federal award.” These commitments are almost always comprised of the time and effort of DOH employees; the implications of that commitment should be carefully considered when preparing your application.
Effective 4/1/19, competitive proposals including in-kind DOH staff will be subject to this requirement and will be tracked via LATSnet (Leave and Accrual Tracking System).
Once a grant is awarded, HRI will provide you detailed information on how you and your staff should code effort in LATSnet.
