Dear PIs and Administrators:
Federal regulations require that grant recipients explain and justify any transfer of an expense onto a federally-funded award when the original expense was previously recorded elsewhere. In order to comply with this directive, HRI has developed a “Retroactive Change in Grant Effort” approval form. The form can be found at: https://internal.healthresearch.org/corporate-controller/payroll/forms/.
This form must accompany any HRI-60A that is submitted to HRI 30 days beyond the effective date of the transaction.
Note: HRI is also developing guidelines for OTPS expense transfers which we will release shortly.
